Scallop Trim Corner Punch

Hey, check this out -- I tried using the Scallop Corner Punch along with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I watched the video on the SU website and it seemed easy. Well, after many unsuccessful tries, I think I finally have somewhat mastered it. One of my customers wanted me to demo it at our monthly stamp-a-stack so I had to be the expert. It proved to be a little difficult and I'm not sure it was one of their favorite techniques. However, we all loved the card -- it's so springy!!!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fantastic Thursday.

April Stamp-a-Stack

Wow, spring where did you go?? Here in the St. Louis area we've been experiencing summer weather (sunny and in the mid-80's for the last 4-5 days). Unfortunately, I suffer from allergies and all that tree pollen is killing me. It's supposed to rain tomorrow so I hope it washes all that yellow pollen that is coating everything outside away!

While I'm sequestered to the inside, I've been busy with my April SAS cards. The first is a card we made at one of our Gateway Glitter 'n Ink group meetings. My customers had seen it in my basket of cards and wanted to make it. It's so simple and clean -- I just love it.

Supplies: Vintage Vogue stamp set; Very Vanilla Craft Stampin' Pad and Soft Suede Stampin' Pad; Whisper White and Soft Suede CS; Clear Embossing Powder and sponge dauber.

The next card is a simple birthday card that I CASE'd but I can't remember where so I'm sorry I can't give credit where credit is due.

Supplies: Happy Everything stamp set; Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Pad and CS; Bashful Blue and Whisper White CS; Old Olive DSP, small & large oval punches, Fresh Favorites 1 buttons; Stampin' Dimensionals.

Mother's Day will be here soon so here is my Mother's Day card for my mother-in-law. I hope she doesn't read my blog and see her card, lol!!! It was also my "buddy swap" for last month. I just love Vintage Vogue and Crushed Curry with Basic Gray. I CASE'd it here.

Supplies: Vintage Vogue Stamp Set; Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray Stampin' Pads; Whisper White, Crushed Curry & Rich Razzleberry CS; Raspberry Lemonade DSP, Top Note Due, Basic Gray Taffeta Ribbon, Vintage Brads & Stampin' Dimensionals.

The last card I want to show you is so cute!! I just love it. I got the idea to use the square scallop die for the card base from one of my friends and a talented stamper from the Gateway Glitter 'n Ink group, Karen. Check out her blog. I was inspired for the card design here.

Supplies: Great Friend Stamp Set; Mellow Moss & Rich Razzleberry Stampin' Pad; Pale Plum, Whisper White & Rich Razzleberry CS; large oval & scalloped oval punches; Mellow Moss taffeta ribbon; Scalloped Square die & Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks stopping in. I've got to go to my full-time job. See you soon.

What a Haul!!

My daughter-in-law, Sarah, my friend, Pam, and I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention in St. Louis (Gateway Convention Center) this past weekend. It was Sarah and Pam's first time to experience the Vendor Fair and you should have seen their jaws drop! It was so much fun to watch them "ooh and ah" over all the cool stuff.

I have tons of paper and stuff that I didn't buy much but I was there as a "consultant" to Sarah. She is a newbie to scrapbooking and I'm helping her build her stash (what a great job -- helping someone spend money, lol!!). And did she get a lot of cool stuff -- look at see our big haul!! This is just Sarah and my stuff -- Pam didn't bring her stuff inside for show and tell when we got home. I know she got a lot of great stuff too because she had to go back to her car at one point to free her hands for more purchases! What a great day ...

Check out the beautiful butterfly embellishments. They just sparkle and make me smile.

Now we've got to make something with all of this so our husbands won't say "you spent all that money and never did anything with it." Thanks for stopping by. Have a scrapping good week!

SU is Spring cleaning!

Well, not exactly Spring cleaning but they are renovating their color collections. They have brought back some of our In-Color favorites, retired some of our favorites and added five new exciting core colors. They also organized the colors in all NEW collections -- I just memorized the color families and now they go and change them all!!! The new colors will be available in July.

The new colors are: Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Daffodil Delight. Kraft cardstock was renamed Crumb Cake. Click on the picture below to get a closer look.

Okay, so if you haven't figured it out here are the colors that are going away. I'm not too upset because I didn't use these colors. What about you -- is your favorite color going away?

I'm so excited about the new colors. I was thinking it was time to update some colors. I can't wait to play with the new paper and ink. As a demonstrator I will get to preorder the new colors. If you want to find out how to become a demonstrator with the greatest company, just ask me -- I'd love to have you join me in all the fun!

Thanks for stopping by.
